Kemp worked closely with Huntington Hospital to plan and execute the voluntary seismic upgrades to the east tower and main entrance lobby. This work was performed while the hospital was in complete operation even though many of the beam to column seismic upgrades were done adjacent to active ICU rooms, the ER department, operating rooms and administration offices.
