Canoga Park High School Major Modernization

Description

The Canoga Park High School Major Modernization Project is a comprehensive initiative by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to revitalize the aging campus and enhance educational facilities. The project entails the demolition of several outdated structures, including the cafeteria, weight room, seven classroom buildings totaling 12 classrooms, two storage buildings, three restroom/multipurpose buildings, and a ticket booth. In their place, the plan includes constructing a new student union building that will house a cafeteria, 12 modern classrooms, a weight room, coach’s office, special education support spaces, and a Wellness Center dedicated to student health. Additionally, two athletic field support buildings are planned: one for event ticketing, home concessions, and restrooms, and another for visitor concessions and restrooms. The project also encompasses various site, utility, and accessibility improvements, as well as upgrades to the football field area. This modernization effort aims to provide students with a safer, more functional, and contemporary learning environment, reflecting LAUSD's commitment to educational excellence.
