Our Process

We believe communication is key to any successful design-build project. Our process consists of internal review meetings conducted throughout the planning, design, and construction of a design-build project. Team collaboration during the design development and documentation phase is critical to our success, including:

• Weekly team meetings to review, update, and exchange current information among team members.
• Monthly management meetings to review project status, schedule and cost issues, and procedures. 
• Coordination of design and drawings using Revit software to help mitigate potential system clashes.
• Extensive constructability reviews with internal plan check teams and external third-party reviewers.
  

We find regular meetings and plan reviews throughout the design development and the construction document phase are of utmost importance. They are supplemented with coordination and kick-off meetings at the beginning of each phase of work, during which we discuss goals and anticipated challenges of the upcoming phase. We also take time to review comments from our clients regarding the processes of the previous phase.

Our integrated teaming approach on design-build projects fosters the maximum level of involvement with all project stakeholders. We organize and manage face-to-face meetings, Zoom and GoTo teleconferences, workshops, questionnaires, and Bluebeam review sessions. The most successful projects are those in which the client and the design-build team work together, with intensive user involvement throughout the design process.
